"We just had a group of five people go to Boar Creak and it was a wonderful fun filled three days. Jeremy our guide was fantastic to work with. The people at Boar Creek took care of every detail. The food was very good. The lodging was comfortable and functional. I have gone on many hunting trips over the years but hunting wild hogs at Boar Creek was the best experience of my life. We have already made reservation for 2020 and the next time we will be bringing my two ten year old grandsons. To quote my son-in law "Sean" my grandson "will lose his freaking mind when he experiences Boar Creak wild hog hunting."

"Bill the owners can’t be a more accommodating host. Talent and calmness make this guy the only guide you would ever want. Thermal hunting! Where do I begin? At first I was like no not me I will hunt like a real guy with a scope in a blind. Well after being talked into it I can say it might have been the most exciting hunting I have ever done. 1 Billion percent I will be back and thermal hunting will be on the list. Don’t trust me call Bill and talk to him and instantly you will see the kind of guy that stands behind his ranch. Blinds amazing, ranch hand Jeremy is ex-Marine who tells it like it is, with a smile, and assistance you would expect from the guy helping you through your weekend. Oh, food and lodging is great! LOVE THIS PLACE!"

"My buddies and I had an awesome experience here at Boar Creek Ranch! Went on a three day hunt and all three of us bagged a hog. Living quarters are nice and homey, bunk beds are in the back rooms and it was nice and cool inside during the July heat. The food was delicious. Sandy was super sweet and always had a wonderful meal set in front of us with plenty to satisfy big eaters. Jeremy was our guide, you couldn't have asked for a nicer guy. Funny, personable, knowledgeable and willing to bust his rear for long hours to make the hunters satisfied and successful. A former Marine, he made for a terrific companion for me and my Army buddies. Quick to help and quick with guidance and answers. He's amazingly efficient with a knife and had my boar in bags in the freezer in no time. A five acre lake is just 30 yards out the backdoor, and they have targets setup for shooting during the hot daylight hours when pigs are bedded down and not moving. If you are looking for a great place to hog hunt solo, with a group or with your child, you can't go wrong with Boar Creek Ranch! Ki"

"I wanted to introduce my 12 year old grandson to hunting so I decided to take him on a wild hog hunt. There are a lot of hog ranches in Texas so I did some research, looked at reviews, etc. and ultimately decided on Boar Creek Ranch. I couldn’t have picked a better ranch for my grandson’s first hunt. We drove down from Kansas City in late October and were greeted upon arrival by the ranch manager, Jeremy. Jeremy has a great demeanor and is very approachable. We had never hunted hogs so we had a lot of questions that he easily answered. Just before the evening hunt, Bill (ranch owner) briefed us on the rules to be followed during the hunt. After the briefing, around 5:30 pm, my grandson and I climbed into our stand and within 15 minutes he took his first hog. Awesome start to the hunt. Dinner is at 8:30 and then the hunters are free to go out for the late hunt. My grandson and I skipped the late hunt as we had scheduled a thermal hunt with Bill which started around 11:30 pm and ended around 3:00 am. The next day Bill downloaded the footage of our hunt (the thermal scopes recorded the hunt) onto his laptop and there was some amazing footage. I highly recommend the thermal hunt. A very unique experience and I look forward to doing it again. On Saturday we took some target practice including a few rounds from the 50 caliber BMG and then back to the stands. I took a nice hog on the evening hunt and my grandson took two hogs (with one shot) on the late hunt around 11:30 pm. By the end of the weekend we had 5 hogs in the freezer – 3 for my grandson and 2 for me. The ranch held good numbers of hogs in the 80-100 lb. range with some up to 150 lbs. Eight of eleven hunters took at least one hog with the largest at 110 lbs. The other three hunters had opportunities, but were not successful. Keep in mind that this is hunting and there is no guarantee. The thermal hunt significantly increases a hunter’s chance of taking a hog. The feeders were in excellent condition and went off at 6:00 pm, 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm as advertised. Each stand is equipped with a red spot light that provides adequate light for scopes. The accommodations are more than adequate – comfortable bunks and a shower. The food was very good and there was plenty of it. No one left hungry. Thanks to Sandy for the awesome meals. Overall, the ranch is very well organized and the feeders and stands are in good condition. There are no hidden fees. No surprises. I am looking forward to my next trip to Boar Creek Ranch."

"Check this place out! Very nice family run business that genuinely cares about the experience of their customers. Hunting style lodge accommodations were simple, clean and east Texas cozy. Great homemade meals! Tons (literally) of hogs on the property. Both hunters in our group had many chances at hogs and both successfully harvested one. If you are looking for friendly, down to earth people to do your next hunting trip with, look no further!"

"Don't know where to begin when describing this Ranch. Everything from the time we arrived on Thursday till we left on Sunday was fantastic!!! The staff**Sandy, Bill, Jeremy, Coby and little CJ*** went out if their way to see that we had an incredible time and a successful hunt. The food was wonderful and plentiful, the camp was rustic, clean & welcoming, and the hunting areas were well maintained with comfortable blinds. The guided night stalk with Bill's thermal imaging equipment is something everyone needs to try. Saturday afternoon range time was an added activity with a chance to try out the awesome Barrett AR50 is something you wouldn't want to miss. It was amazing the comrade developed in a short time with hunters from many different states. And best of all was the successful hunt with taking home coolers containing 3 hogs. Boar Creek Ranch is the place to go for the hog hunt you dream about. We will be back!!"

"We have been hunting here since 2001. We have a had a lot of good times at BCR. These are wild hogs that are either running scared or angry and running towards you. Most blinds have been replaced in the last few years. The food is great. (Wear your comfy pants) The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The bunkhouse is clean, but spartan. This is a hunting camp, not the Ritz Carlton. They have flush toilets and showers which are appreciated. Way back in the day it was port-o-potty only. Of course Nick and Kelly are missed, but the Stypicks are carrying on the BCR traditions well."
